Derek Redmond

Barcelona Olympic games 1992, the 400 meters sprint line up was getting ready. The line up consisted of the British athlete Derek Redmond, who was considered a favourite to win a medal.

The race began and  Derek had a good start, 150 meters into the race, Derek felt a scaring pain. In agony, he fell to the ground with a torn hamstring, but he was not willing to give up and was determined to finish the race, Derek got up and taking up all the pain limped ahead. During this time a person from the spectators broke through the security and came to Derek's side. It was his father.

" You don't have to do this," he told his son

" Yes I do, " came the answer

" Well then, we are going to finish this together," together the father and son continued

Shortly before the finish line, Derek's father let him go to complete his race, receiving a standing ovation from a crowd of over sixty five thousand.

When you don't give up, you cannot fail

Suresh Reddy

“My credibility of carrying an IIM tag should compensate. If I say I am from x school people just walk off. If I am from IIM, people will pay at least one second attention. It is that one second that I am looking for.”
says Suresh Reddy, a 26 years old from Kolkata.

What is special about him, 100 per cent visually impaired, battled all odds to make it to the prestigious management school - IIM

"I have no other choice but to be optimistic and at least to follow if not to lead," he said
Do your very best and god will do the rest.
